A spectroscope is an easy educational tool for visible light observation. The spectrum of visible light is part of the electromagnetic spectrum, where also radio waves, microwaves, infrared, UV, X-rays, and Gamma rays belong. Radio waves have the lowest frequency, Gamma rays have the shortest wavelength (the higher the frequency, the lower the wavelength). The spectroscope uses simple laws of optics to see the spectrum of any light source easily, just by watching through the grid.
